Brief Summary
- On your printer’s home screen, tap Setup (gear icon).
- Go to Service.
- Select LaserJet Update → Manage Updates.
- Tap Allow Updates → set to No.
- Go to Prompt Before Install → choose Always Prompt.
- Turn Check Automatically → Off.
That’s it. Your printer will no longer automatically download or install firmware updates. You can still manually install updates if needed.
